Upcoming Exhibitions
Opening midday Saturday 9th May, our annual Printmakers’ Wildlife Exhibition seeks to highlight the variety of styles and form that the art of printmaking has to offer. Running for 4 weeks, the show will continue every day 11 to 5 until the 5th June. The gallery will be completely devoted to the art of printmaking in all its diversity of form and technique; from mezzotints to reduction linocuts, etchings to wood engravings, screenprints to drypoints, this exhibition will have it all!
We are very grateful to Kim Atkinson, a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists, who has just delivered 7 brand new relief prints which we cant wait to get on the walls. Kim has a tendency to create large artworks, but set herself the challenge of confining these new works to much smaller canvases, and we think the results are fantastic, bold colours and lively birds full of character!
We are also delighted to be welcoming printmaker Hazel McNab to BIRDscapes. Her incredible reduction linocuts tend to focus on the tranquil landscapes of the Cornish coastline, but we are also very lucky to have two brand new linocuts from Hazel which feature the majestic scenery and wildlife of the Andean Mountains.
As always, photos of artworks never do them justice, and nothing beats seeing things with your own eyes. With original prints from over 20 featured artists, this collection will not disappoint, so we hope you can make it to the gallery at some point before the 7th June. But most importantly, we hope you can join us for drinks and nibbles from midday Saturday 9th May!

Opening midday Saturday 18th July and running for 3 weeks, we are honoured to be hosting an exhibition of work by renowned wildlife artist Dafila Scott, a long-standing member of the Society of Wildife Artists. This show will include neverbefore seen, richly coloured and life-filled paintings of the wildlife of Africa’s Kalahari Desert which radiate the scorching heat of the midday sun! We are delighted that Dafila will be joining us for the opening, so we hope you will be able to join us on the opening day to enjoy a fantastic collection of artwork. Keep an eye out for more details, or sign up to our newsletter below.

David Cowdry is back! David will be with us at the opening of his latest collection of artwork for The BIRDscapes Gallery. The annual event is a highlight of the BIRDscapes year, and we cannot wait to see what David has produced for us this year. We are confident his legion of fans, old and new, will not be disappointed! More details to follow.
